Autocomplete with RESTXQ

Hi List, Can anyone recommend a lightweight vanilla Javascript autocomplete library that can easily be used together with BaseX RESTXQ? Maybe even a readily cloneable/modifiable example? I don’t have a preference for a server response format. The RESTXQ service may be configured to return XML, JSON, or HTML No CORS restrictions need to be considered, the query host is the same that delivers the HTML pages. Gerrit

Options for ft:search

Hi, I'd like to request a feature concerning the ft:search method: An `lserror` option that works exactly like the global option `LSERROR`. It would be nice if we could set the maximum Levenshtein distance specifically for each fuzzy search without having to adjust the global option. Another question on ft:search: Is there a reason why it doesn't have a `case` option just like ft:contains has one? Best regards, Sebastian

RESTXQ path resolution

Hi, I'm trying to resolve a 404 with a RESTXQ service, and got to wondering if it's possible to show the directories it's looking for things, ideally fully qualified paths. Is it possible to turn on logging so much that it shows all the XQ files it found, then show the ones it actually matched? In my case, I put the hello-world service in the main project directory, in the modules directory where the RESTXQPATH and in the RESTPATH. I've tried renaming the hello-world to .xq, .xqm and .xqy. Feature Request: Save untitled, open scripts when exiting GUI

SublimeText has this nifty feature, that it saves all open tabs, even if the have no representation on the filesystem, so one can continue exactly, where one has left off. I find myself often to have several, unnamed, XQueries open, to test this concept, to compose that function, etc. It would be nice, if one could simply shut off and have them reopened next time without naming a file and saving each item in question. -- Minden jót, all the best, Alles Gute, Andreas Mixich

BaseX 9.4 - XQuery locks - documentation query

Hello, I was just looking at the changes to locking for 9.4 and I think the documentation has got ‘garbled’ in an update. https://docs.basex.org/wiki/Transaction_Management#XQuery_Locks <https://docs.basex.org/wiki/Transaction_Management#XQuery_Locks> " The lock may be transformed to a write lock by cominthe operations as Similar to the internal database locks, write locks block all other operations while read locks allow parallel access. “ I think this line should be two bullets but I’m not sure what ‘cominthe operations’ should be? I’m happy to update the wiki but I wasn't confident enough that I’ve understood the 9.4 change to do it without first checking on the list. Regards, James

Testing if a database exists and if some files exist

Reg : Memory leak suspect

Dear Basex Team, Basex server instance consuming more money,That instance is not releasing the memory ,to resolve this issue every time we are doing manually stopping the basex server instance and again starting. We are using the Basex7.9 version. We found the leak suspect.Please find in below 986,394,064 bytes (41.11 %) of Java heap is used by 4,062,161 instances of org/basex/query/path/IterStep$1 480,109,832 bytes (20.01 %) of Java heap is used by 100,000 instances of org/basex/query/value/node/FElem 206,334,096 bytes (8.6 %) of Java heap is used by 633,122 instances of org/basex/query/iter/NodeSeqBuilder 178,523,080 bytes (7.44 %) of Java heap is used by 37,245 instances of org/basex/query/value/node/FElem 103,703,288 bytes (4.32 %) of Java heap is used by 1,069,602 instances of org/basex/query/value/node/DBNode What may be causing this problem and what are some possible solutions? Inserting a two double quoted attribute

Hello BaseX team, I need to insert a node that has an attribute with two double quotes. An example: let $message:='<Amt Ccy=""GBP"">3.00</Amt>' return insert nodes fn:parse-xml-fragment($message) as last into doc('testingdb/testing.xml') The GBP attribute is with two " so it gives the error: SAX: file://C:/Program$20Files(86)/BaseX/(Line1)<file:///C:/Program$20Files(86)/BaseX/(Line1)>: whitespace expected, attribute name found. Hi, <!DOCTYPE some name SYSTEM .. and <?xml version="1.0"?> data loss are happening while importing the xml document using db:replace(...) API. <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE testSuiteConfig SYSTEM "../../../configs/TestConfig_2_1.dtd"> etc. We need help to resolve this issue. we are using Java executeQuery api of XQExpression. class to run "db:replace(...)" query.
