Multiple queries in client API

Hello, I am building a Django application using BaseX as its database, using a custom model layer with the Python API. Currently, I am using a single Session instance to connect to the BaseX server, but I am facing problems when multiple queries are sent at the same time. I didn't check how the client API works in details, but is it made in such a way that only one query at a time can be sent? Should I use a new Session instance for every single query sent to the server? Thanks in advance. Regards, Michael Clement

Proposition for the GUI features

Hi everyone! I have a nice idea, how to stop to crack the database, when user use GUI and server simultaneously. When GUI will found launched server, every updating functions should be executed through port, not directly. User may setup different connections (require list of connections), select the default connection, and choose method of connection: direct access or via saved one Sorry for my bad English. Alexander

Hi Anantha, sorry for the delay. It looks as if the current version of the PHP client API provides no implementation for more() and next() functions, so you should probably call execute() instead. Maybe there are volunteers out there who are interested in complementing the PHP code? The problem seems to lie in the doc() function. In fact if you just left what you found intact, you wouldn't wreck people's formatting too. Pathname of the current XQuery?

I have the awful feeling that I'm missing something really obvious, but I want to be able to get the pathname of the current query, and I can't figure out how. The use case is that the query validates documents in the collection differently, based on the document element, and I want to refer to the different schema files (which sit, on the file system, right next to the file with the query in it) in a machine-independent way. So instead of let $decisionSchema := '/home/graydon/workspace/Content Standards/schemas/decisions_schema.xsd' I'd like to be able to say something like let $decisionSchema := concat(string-join(tokenize(get-query-path(),'/')[position() ne last()],'/'),'/decisions_schema.xsd') only I can't figure out what get-query-path() is. File module path encodings

Hi, The following two expressions create a file called "d d.txt" (Windows, BaseX 7.6) file:write("c:\temp\d d.txt","what") file:write("c:\temp\d%20d.txt","what") I wonder if it would not be better if the second would create a file "d%20d.txt"? My use case is creating a file name that encodes a path e.g. "lib%5Cfile.txt". The currently gives an error, as it is looking for a folder lib. I read http://expath.org/spec/file#d3e112 as meaning url encoded file names must start file:/// and if no file:/// the name should be used as is. /Andy

Dear Team, Following is my query - for $x in db:fulltext('Doc', 'Molecular Biology')/ancestor::*:Doc return $x/ArticleNo This query will return all the ArticleNo having the words "Molecular Biology" The output of this query is like a PHRASE... where the phrase is "Molecular Biology" Now I want to list all the ArticleNo which might have word "Molecular" OR/AND "Biology" How can I get this using the above query... ?? -- Have a nice day JBest

Java Exception:insertion at beginning of populated table

Via a python client, I am looping through a set of 600 xml files and issuing REPLACE commands to store them in my BaseX db. All was well until I reached file #364, at which point the program crashed with Java.lang.RuntimeException: "insertion at beginning of populated table." I am using BaseX 7.7 beta. I guess I shouldn't be using beta?
