adding zip contents – bug or feature?

When I add a directory to a database in 6.6.1 using the plain *.xml createfilter, and when there's a zip file below this directory, the zip file's contents will be indexed, too, as if they reside in the server's working directory. If this is a feature, how can I switch it off? Gerrit

Hi Mike (cc @ basex-talk), you're right, Firefox seems to have problems rendering the page (Opera and Chrome didn't cause any problem in my ad-hoc test).. External variables in GUI

Firstly I apologise if this has been asked before, but I cannot work out how to search this mailing list without downloading all the archives first. I am working through the XQuery in 10 minutes tutorial and trying this XQuery: declare variable $firstName as xs:string external; <videos featuring="{$firstName}"> { let $doc := doc('http://www.stylusstudio.com/examples/videos.xml') for $v in $doc//video, $a in $doc//actors/actor where ends-with($a, $firstName) and $v/actorRef = $a/@id order by $v/year return <video year="{$v/year}"> {$v/title} </video> } </videos> It's fine in standalone mode (command line), but I cannot find a way of supplying an external variable in the GUI. Hi Sebastian, thanks again for your report. There's a problem with the implementation of fn:put as the current solution based on Java FileOutputStream can't handle the kind of URI we discussed earlier [1]. We'll let you know as soon as we fixed this issue. base-uri and put statement

Hello, In an fn:put(TempNode,URI) I would expect base-uri(Node) as a URI parameter to work. But base-uri(Node) returns on Windows "file:/C:/somepath/somefile.xml", which does not work, because the URI cannot be opened. The URI "/somepath/somefile.xml" works. And file://C/somepath/somefile.xml does also work. Is this a bug? example: let $doc:= doc("bla.xml") put( copy $temp := $doc modify replace value of node $temp/n with lower-case($temp/n) return $temp,base-uri($doc) ) (: this does not work, but should it not? :) best regards, Sebastian

Fwd: Incorrect implementation of XQUF?

Hi, All I did was upgrade from 6.5.1 to 6.6.3-SNAPSHOT which I took from BaseX file-server today (a couple of hours ago) and I get: Not expected (Data Access out of bounds [pre:2050100, indexSize:8028, access:8028 > 8027] This is quite similar to the issue I faced when I raised the original query regarding XQUF (this thread). Immediately downgraded to 6.5.1 and the issue got fixed (I did not update the data at all). Thanks. Dear BaseX, Don't know if this is important. I'm new to BaseX, but I thought I should relay the entry I received when attempting to download info into BaseX. JAXRXPATH property, Basic auth

1. After upgrading to 6.6.2 from 6.5.1, JAXRX cannot find my xquery files stored on server side even though the property JAXRXPATH is defined and is pointing to the directory containing the xquery files, the directory is mounted. Any pointers on how it should be configured? Below is the ~/.basex file's contents: DBPATH = /home/developer/BaseXData JAXRXPATH = /media/queries/ LANG = English LANGKEYS = false HOST = localhost PORT = 1984 SERVERPORT = 1984 JAXRXPORT = 8984 TIMEOUT = 0 Do I need to specify RESTPATH instead (if I do that, I get RESTPATH not found message upon JAXRX server startup)? 2. I have been trying to provide basic auth using admin:admin@localhost:8984 notation in the URL in Firefox, but Firefox says the web-site does not require authentication and then does not apparently pass the auth header to JAX-RX. Does JAX-RX not return 401 with WWW-Authenticate header so the user can authenticate? Thanks.
