Good news: BaseX 9 will be released this month.

We have just finished the »persistent jobs« feature: Queries can additionally be registered as persistent jobs, which will be scheduled for evaluation whenever the BaseX server or BaseX HTTP server is started [1]. As already indicated in Github [2], we have postponed the Websockets feature to BaseX 9.1. There are still various competing approaches that we want to sort out first. Let’s see which one will win the trophy.
