there’s a good chance that regex will be supported in a future version
of RESTXQ and, thus, BaseX. You are invited to join the discussion in
the EXQuery GitHub repository [1, 2]! I guess, e.g., that some time
needs to be spent to define how conflicting paths are to be resolved
[3].
