Hi Christian,
The server is up now. Since I wasn't able to start the existing BaseX while the host was down, maybe there are some GUI start-up heuristics to be thought over. I haven't seen this problem while running without any internet connection, but now, when having connection but the site being down, the GUI didn't start.

Exactly. It seems to be a problem of our web hosting provider. Should be fixed soon (hopefully).
