Hi Peter,
true, the database catalog contains some meta data that is specific to the original input. However, your approach (copying database directories to another BaseX instance) shouldn’t cause any problems as all static information is (afair) only evaluated by the INFO command.

Hello List
I have created a database using the GUI and loaded up a large number of files. I now want to move to a sever, so I naively just zipped up the database and moved it. I now find that some information is hard coded (and I think it is making operation on the server problematic).
My question: Can properties such as the 'Input Path' be changed on the database that I uploaded [it is currently reporting the Input Path that was appropriate when the database was created]? If so, how?
Cheers
Peter
