Hi I already found the reason - I was having new version in my system, but still running previous version as a service. After restarting the service with new version of jar all works well.

Using basex6.5.1.2791 beta I am trying to create database. Via BaseX GUI the command "create database test" works well. However, using basexclient it does nothing, resp. it does stop responding and I have to cancel the client.
