I fixed the links to the BaseX examples. Indeed, we change the project structure and did not update the corresponding links, so thank you for the hint.
Indeed, your problem is not that much related to BaseX. To use the BaseX API from a Java program you have to add the jar file to your project. Using eclipse you can do so by selecting your project > File > Properties > Java Build Path > Libraries > Add External JARs... and selecting the BaseX jar file, which you can download at https://basex.org/products/download/all-downloads/ (Core package)

Should the general install of BaseX put these packages into their proper places? Or is there something else I have to do to get these packages properly installed and able to be resolved?
