I hadn't -- I wasn't sure if BaseX would still run or what value to try. What do you suggest I start with? -Xmx1000m instead of -Xmx1400m? Less?
We would have hoped that the thosen value is a good tradeoff for most Windows systems. If your operations don’t consume too much memory, it might even be ok to completely remove the flag. Feel free to report back to us which value works best for you!

Dear Jim,
Did you already try to change/reduce the value of the -Xmx flag in the basexhttp.bat start script?

I'm having the same issue Cong Hui has described in this Stack Overflow question:
http://stackoverflow.com/q/43331077/4852675
Namely, that I get this error when trying to run basexhttp.bat
Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for 1433600KB object heap
My system is running Windows 10 Home version 1703 build 15063.296 (just updated), with 4.00 GB RAM
Is there a solution?
