Yes, it is still in the Dock. I have no clue if it is in the Application Switcher as well. I don't know how to access that. On Wed, Jun 10, 2015 at 2:01 AM France Baril france.baril@architextus.com wrote:
I can reproduce the issue with 8.0.1 and 8.2 on Yosemite 10.10.2. I can force quit, but not quit. CMD-Q won't work, BaseXGUI > Quit BaseXGUI won't work, right-click from the Dock > Quit won't quit.
It's not constant. Sometimes I can open and quit, sometimes I can't.
The window with the views (editor) closes, but the top menu bar shows that BaseXGUi is still the active application, the dock and the CMD-TAB still show the BaseX icon.
I hope this helps,

Hi Stuart,
I'm running 10.10.3 (14D136) as well and can not reproduce the problem. Pressing CMD+Q shuts down BaseX.app as well as choosing BaseX -> Quit BaseXGUI from the menu.
With 'stubbornly refuses to quit; it only closes the active windows' you mean the main window has closed after pressing CMD+Q, but you still see the process BaseXGUI listed in, for example, Activity Monitor? Is the BaseX icon still present in the Dock and Application Switcher (CMD+TAB) as well?
Thanks Alex

I have BaseX 8.2.1 running on Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite, BaseX GUI.app,
release channel. My computer has a 2.2 GHz Intel processor and 4 GB of RAM. My problem is that I have tried all the standard ways to quit BaseX, but BaseX stubbornly refuses to quit; it only closes the active windows. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or is this a bug?
