I intended to use the 8.0 documented function map:for-each-entry but it doesn't exist (tried latest snapshot).

You are absolutely up-to-date, I have just added the entry a few days ago.. I'm currently implementing XQuery arrays. If I'm finished with a stable version, I'll upload a new snapshot (which will also contain th new map:for-each-entry function).

Second thing I noticed was a typo in the namespace.
