Hello everyone,
I’m an occasional user of BaseX and I like the program very much. One thing that could be improved is the treemap view. Cascaded tree maps have been proposed for better visualization of the nesting structure [1]. An example is available here [2]. I think this could help exploring the structure of XML documents better. For example, I think it takes a little too much practice and attention to the nuances to construct the tree on the right from the tree map on the left. Great software, though.
Best, Carl Witt

Hi Carl,
Thanks for your input. Various of the visualizations in BaseX have initially been realized by students. In the last years, we have mainly focused on extending the database features of BaseX, but it would be great if the visualizations could be further enhanced. Volunteers are welcome!
Cheers Christian
