Hi Working in GUI is nice, I only like using shift+Delete control+Insert shift+Insert shortcuts for working with clipboard and currently it does not work in XQuery window in BaseX GUI See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cut,_copy,_and_paste#Common_keyboard_shortcuts
I am working on MS Windows.
You see, I do care about your wish list not to let it empty for too long time "-).
Best reagards

Hi Christian. Thanks, I finally got to testing it and great - it works and it makes my work a bit simpler.
However, I discovered another strange thing, which I guess not many users would discover. I am learning touch typing to be more productive.
My teacher told me to learn only Classical Czech keyboard layout and write all special programming characters from here using AltGr key. So I tried. Writing $ sign became real fun. With classical Czech keyboard layout (QWERTZ) it can be written by AltGr-ů (the ů is one position right to L, English layout has semicolon here)
Trying this in BaseX has special effect - whenever I had cursor in the document, finally I get the $ character written as the very first character in the XQuery document. Now, I have great chance to take advantage from enhanced shortcuts in BaseX and use clipboard to move it where I need :-)
This problem is not happening with other special characters produced by means of AltGr like []@{}#|
So complete setup to reproduce it is
1. Move cursor into middle of XQuery text in GUI 2. Be sure you use Czech classical keyboard setup (do not use QWERTY, which behaves differently) 3. Use AltGr-ů (or AltGr-semicolon beside L)
It would be great, if this very exotic, but really annoying behaviour could be resolved.
With best regards
Jan

Does the following image reflect your mapping?…

I have this issue on our list (this time, however, the fix might take some more time. If you want to have a look at our code for yourself… your feedback is welcome ;)
Thanks, Christian
Hi Christian Yes, the keyboard layout is the one I use. Jan

Hi Jan,
the problem should now be fixed in the current repository version, to be found at https://svn.uni-konstanz.de/dbis/basex/trunk/.
Just tell me if you'd rather have a prebuilt basex.jar.
Cheers, Leo
