A little pre-announcement: BaseX 6.6 will be released tomorrow. As a major new feature, we now support the full range of Higher Order Functions features introduced with XQuery 3.0, such as dynamic function invocations or inlined functions [1][2]! A preview is available here:

We'll soon include a little tutorial in our Wiki to present the major new features.

Thanks to your feedback, we've also managed to fix a bug in our updating storage algorithms, which could be triggered by deleting large XML nodes from an existing database.
