I'd like to announce Nxdb, a pure .NET binding for BaseX that is focused primarily on using BaseX as an embedded XML database. It can run under Mono and does not require any Java or JVM support. It is the culmination of several years of work with BaseX on the .NET platform in multiple commercial projects. It introduces an entirely new API focused on direct database node manipulation as well as several other features intended to make the embedded database use case easier. The project portal is here:

Please feel free to give it a try and let me know what you think. I'm still working out the best way to document, distribute, etc. so suggestions in that area would be helpful as well. I'm also very interested in ideas on what should be added or improved next.
