Hi,

there is a .NET version called nxdb. I converted the jars using IKVM some time ago myself and it run just fine. Also, since it is BSD licensed, one could use Excelsior JET to generate native code.

If you just want a processor (not a xmldb) you could try Zorba XQuery as well, that is C++
