Hi,
when closing BaseX GUI, you will be asked to save edited files. When you click "cancel", it shuts down immediately. Shouldn't it cancel the closing process but not the application?

true this is an annoying bug—you are running Mac OS X I assume— that will eventually be fixed. I thought we had this on GitHub already, looks like its missing…. well:
