Hi!
I know that one can move the BaseXData directory from his or her home, but wouldn't this directory be better placed into something like "Application Data" (Windows), or ".BaseXData" on linux and friends by default? Is there a reason that the data directory is so "visible"? Maybe I have missed something here and that's how it should be - thanks!

Dear Szabolcs Kurdi,
there have been different opinions on the default location of the data directory. The current solution seems to satisfy most users, and it's convenient as it is the same on all platforms. Your feedback will be taken account in future considerations, though.
