I am trying to execute the command Check, I am getting the follow exception: java.io.IOException: Database 'TRADE' was not found.
Shouldn't it create a new one DB if it does not exist?

CHECK will create a database for a specified input document, or open open an existing database that contains this resource. When reading your mail, though, it seems completely obvious that the command could also be used to create a new, empty database for the given database name. I'll think about it and give you an update.

thanks again for your observation. I have slightly modified the CHECK command such that it can also be used to create empty databases [1]. Feel free to check out the latest snapshot.
