I just wanted to know , can basex provide line and column number of a element of a xml document loaded in BaseX database.

That's not possible, sorry. Line and column numbers of the input document will never be stored in the database. One of many reasons is that they wouldn't make sense anymore after updates. Moreover, it would take additional memory.
