In the zip and exe distributions, you wlil only find the latest version of the library (1.7.12). Maybe you need to delete the lib directory before updating to the new version?

Previously the same system ran BaseX 8.2, and everything was fine. Reinstalling 8.2 also brings everything back to normal.
