The registration website for LFG22 will be available in the next few days. Apologies for the delay: there have been some last-minute issues to iron out. In the meantime, here are some details to help with your planning.
The registration fee will be €100 for physical participation and €10 for live online participation.
The main conference will begin at 09:15 on Tuesday 12 July and finish at 17:00 on Thursday 14 July.
The conference venue is the Bernoulliborg, Nijenborgh 9, 9747AG Groningen. This is 4km from the city centre, served by frequent buses or a 15 minute bike ride, mostly along traffic-free cycle paths.
The conference workshop will take place on the morning of Friday 15 July. Participation is free, whether physical or online. The topic is Coordination of further LFG activities in the context of issues raised at recent ILFGA business meetings, and recognising that 2022 marks 40 years since the publication of The mental representation of grammatical relations.
We regret that it was not feasible to hold the planned workshop on formal grammars and cognition.
On Monday 11 July there will be a conference social event involving lunch at a pancake restaurant and a gentle 8km walk through the Drentsche Aa National Park. It is possible to join the lunch without doing the walk, and longer walk variants are available. Sadly we can’t offer much in the way of hills.
If you need a letter of invitation for a visa application, please send an email to
lfgconf22@gmail.com
I will be in touch again once the registration website is live.
Looking forward to seeing you in Groningen or online!
