We are happy to announce Milena Tsvetkova of the London School of Economics and Political Science and Brent Simpson of the University of South Carolina as keynote speakers for ACES 2022! Both are renowned experimental sociologists, known for their innovative experimental research on a variety of topics. ACES gives the stage to scholars doing sociologically relevant research using experiments broadly construed. In it's fourth, 2022 edition, ACES opens its doors to a broader audience interested in cutting-edge approaches in experimental sociology. We welcome submissions of extended abstracts (max. 500 words) on survey-, laboratory-, field- and online experiments conducted to address sociologically relevant questions. In particular, we welcome submissions on replications and secondary analyses of previous experimental results, early-career scholars' research designs in the pre-field phase of their projects, and methodological advances in experimental sociology. We offer about 40 30-minute slots for oral presentations and up to 20 spaces for poster presentations. Dear colleagues, we are happy to announce that registration for the 3rd meeting of the German Political Psychology Network is now open. The meeting will take place online from 10 March (noon, CET) to 11 March noon on gather.town and participation is free of charge. Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, ich suche für das Forschungsprojekt "Survey Data Collection and the Covid-19 Pandemic (SDCCP)" noch eine*n PostDoc (E13 TV-L, 100%). Das Projekt wird für 36 Monate durch das BMBF gefördert. Im Rahmen des Projekts werden wir untersuchen, wie Umfragedaten für die Sozialwissenschaften während der Covid-19-Pandemie erhoben werden. Ziel des Projekts ist zu evaluieren, wie belastbar diese Datengrundlage ist, welchen Einfluss die Covid-19-Pandemie auf die Erhebungspraxis hat und welche Schlüsse sich für zukünftige Datenerhebungen ergeben. Ein zentraler Projektoutput werden Artikel in internationalen Fachzeitschriften sein. Die Projektstelle eignet sich meiner Meinung nach also sehr das eigene Forschungsprofil zu stärken.
