Call for papers for a Special Issue of methods, data, analyses (mda) on the topic of
Recent Developments and Current Approaches to the Analysis of Panel Data
We kindly invite interested researchers to contribute to a special issue of the open-access journal methods, data, analyses (mda) with proposals for papers on the topic of Recent Developments and Current Approaches to the Analysis of Panel Data. We welcome papers on panel regression-related topics that highlight recent developments and/or current approaches. This includes both papers with a statistical or methodological focus (ideally with empirical examples) as well as innovative panel data applications. We furthermore encourage papers that bridge the gap between the fields of Econometrics, Psychology and Sociology. Some suggested topics may include:
* dealing with violations of the parallel trends assumption and heterogeneous growth, * comparisons of different statistical approaches for panel data analysis, * mediation analysis based on panel data, * estimation of treatment effect dynamics and dealing with negative weighting bias * the challenges of dynamic panel models and the inclusion of lagged dependent variables, * approaches to analyze bidirectional effects, * missing value treatment in panel analysis.
Accepted papers will be published in a special issue of mda scheduled for October 2022.
Proposal guidelines:
Proposals for papers should be in the form of a brief abstract (ca. 250-500 words). Each proposal will be reviewed by the guest editors of the special issue with regards to quality and relevance to the call.
