We invite academic researchers to submit proposals for participation in the newly established GESIS Panel.dbd Digital Behavioral Data Sample, a unique opportunity to collect linked web tracking and survey data free of charge (https://www.gesis.org/en/gesis-panel/about-gesis-panel). In contrast to previous web tracking studies, the panel is based on a hybrid sampling design that also includes a large probability-based subsample (~ 50% of the sample). Accepted proposals will have their survey items fielded in February 2025, with data linked to ongoing web tracking collected since April 2024. Submissions are due by October 1, 2024, and must include survey items in German, not exceeding 5 minutes in total. This initiative is open to all social and behavioral science researchers interested in exploring digitalization and testing theories with new data.
The timeline is as follows:
- Deadline for submissions (October 1, 2024) - Decision and notification about acceptance of proposals (end of October 2024) - If necessary, timely revision of proposed survey items (until mid-November 2024) - Fielding of wave "ma" (February 1 to March 8, 2025) - Provision of survey data and access to web tracking data (Fall 2025)
For more information or how to submit your proposal, please visit https://www.gesis.org/en/gesis-panel/data-collection/data-collection-gesis-p...
We look forward to receiving your proposals via email: info(at)gesis-panel(dot)org.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Best wishes
Team GESIS Panel
