ParGram meeting, joint ParGram/DELPH-IN meeting

Hi, We are planning to organize a ParGram meeting in 2016. It is not yet clear where the meeting will be taking place; we are trying to co-locate the meeting with other fixed-date venues to attract as many people as possible, so that the place depends on the date. I have created a Doodle that lists possible dates. It would be great if you could indicate your preferences in terms of "Yes" (I think I can come on this date), "(Yes)" (I may be able to come on this date, but it's not ideal), or "No" (I can definitely not come on this day). The co-located events are indicated on the Doodle. Also, there is interest in trying to join forces with DELPH-IN. I attach a DELPH-IN email address here, hoping that this invitation will be forwarded to the appropriate lists. I think it would be really good to have a joint ParGram/DELPH-IN meeting soon, to be able to learn from one another and start thinking about possible future research directions. The idea to apply for a joint EACL 2017 workshop on grammar development/treebanking has also come up. We are currently planning for a 4-day meeting, but we could extend this to 5 days if there is need. Also, if any of you have other suggestions for possible dates, please let me know so that I can modify the Doodle accordingly. Hi, I am forwarding below a message from Gunn who, at the INESS workshop, again stressed the importance of establishing licensing terms for all treebanks integrated in INESS. For ParGramBank, Gunn suggests that the DELA ("Deposition License Agreement") could be signed by a single copyright holder on behalf of the ParGramBank collective; I suggested Miriam as that person. That person then would have to get written consent from each individual treebank/grammar team who is part of ParGramBank. Once the copyright holder has that written consent from everyone, the DELA can be signed, and ParGramBank can be distributed in INESS under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/). Gunn also says that it is important that people know they still own the rights to the annotations/analyses; it's just that INESS is officially allowed to distribute them. I attach the original template document she sent me. For each individual ParGramBank treebank, the developer can be indicated on the treebank information page, so that appropriate credit is given. If you have taken part in ParGramBank, or if you would like to participate in the future, could I ask the following: 1. Please check the attached form and make sure you are fine with the distribution of your work over INESS as well as the proposed license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). 2. If you have any issues with the DELA, let Miriam and me know; we can then discuss changes. If all of it is fine by you, we can then get written consent from you (we are currently working out the details) and finally license/distribute ParGramBank. I suppose for the Norwegian one, for instance: Helge or Victoria must give their consent to Miriam. When Miriam has a written consent from each of them, we can proceed to get the DELA signed and create metadata.
