Hi,
We are planning to organize a ParGram meeting in 2016. It is not yet
clear where the meeting will be taking place; we are trying to co-locate
the meeting with other fixed-date venues to attract as many people as
possible, so that the place depends on the date.
I have created a Doodle that lists possible dates. It would be great if
you could indicate your preferences in terms of "Yes" (I think I can
come on this date), "(Yes)" (I may be able to come on this date, but
it's not ideal), or "No" (I can definitely not come on this day). The
co-located events are indicated on the Doodle.
Also, there is interest in trying to join forces with DELPH-IN. I attach
a DELPH-IN email address here, hoping that this invitation will be
forwarded to the appropriate lists.
I think it would be really good to have a joint ParGram/DELPH-IN meeting
soon, to be able to learn from one another and start thinking about
possible future research directions. The idea to apply for a joint EACL
2017 workshop on grammar development/treebanking has also come up.
We are currently planning for a 4-day meeting, but we could extend this
to 5 days if there is need.
Also, if any of you have other suggestions for possible dates, please
let me know so that I can modify the Doodle accordingly.
