Hi all,
In an effort to be a little more sophisticated about
websites/wikis/forums, I have created a Redmine
(http://www.redmine.org/) site for collaborative work on all things
related to ParGram/XLE. The site is at:
http://typo.uni-konstanz.de/redmine
The platform has two projects: ParGram and XLE.
- ParGram project: wiki, calendar, documents modules. This wiki replaces
the old one (http://typo.uni-konstanz.de/pargramwiki is obsolete, so
please update your bookmarks).
- XLE project: documents, support forum. The support forum is for XLE
related questions. The idea here is that we can give some support to
people new to XLE (this was a suggestion that came up during the
Debrecen meeting).
Only people that are registered with the Redmine system are allowed to
make changes (create/update wikipages, post forum messages). You can
create your account, I will then activate it. To simply view the pages,
one does not need an account.
Feel free to distribute the above address to people interested in
ParGram/XLE matters.
----
On a related note, the ParGram workspace with all the files from past
meetings is here:
http://ling.uni-konstanz.de/pages/home/pargram_urdu/pargram
To access that page, you (still) need a user account, which you can get
by contacting Anja Leiderer (anja.leiderer(a)hotmail.de) with your desired
username/password combination.
Please contact me with any questions that may come up.
Enjoy your holidays!
Best,
Jani

Hello ParGrammers,
I am emailing you again to ask you for your participation in building a
parallel treebank for the ParGram project.
We have already received contributions from the Wolof, Norwegian and
Georgian grammars (and thanks a LOT for that!). There are many more
languages represented in the ParGram project, though, and the more
participate in this task, the better!
I am attaching the file with the sentences as well as a readme on how to
submit your parses to this email. So far, we have decided to submit the
first 16 sentences.
Ideally, you would submit your parses already disambiguated (as you do
anyway for the ParGram meetings) - but if you can't manage to
disambiguate them, you can always to that at a later stage.
We would like to extend the deadline once more: please submit your
structures until the end of the year.
Also, if you have questions about how to submit or problems with the
Subversion repository, please let me know.
Best wishes,
Jani (from the Urdu team in Konstanz)

APOOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTING
Dear All,
since the Bergen BSCW workspace for storing ParGram files has been
closed, we have been working on an alternative solution at Konstanz.
Anja Leiderer, one of our students, has now implemented a website using
PHP for you to browse ParGram related files (meeting discussions,
presentations, etc).
The website is here:
http://ling.uni-konstanz.de/pages/home/pargram_urdu/pargram/index.php
To access the directory, you need to have a username and a password.
Those of you who wish to have access can send email to Anja and me with
their choice of a username/password combination, and we will give you
access:
anja.leiderer(a)hotmail.com
sebastian.sulger(a)uni-konstanz.de
People can send future meeting files to us for upload. The search does
not work as of yet --- we are working on debugging and improving it at
the moment. You can browse and download files, though.
Suggestions are welcome, of course!
Best wishes,
Jani & the Urdu team at Konstanz
