Hi,
At this year's ParGram meeting, we decided we should have 2 meetings in 2014 (spring and fall).
Regarding the spring meeting, Ron Kaplan has volunteered to host it at Nuance in California. To find a suitable date, I created a Doodle poll which you can find here:

Please participate in the poll so that we can find a date that suits most of us. By the way: This will be a special occasion since we will be celebrating 20 years of ParGram!
Cheers, Jani
Hi,
note that we are about to close the doodle poll. If you still want to register preferences, please do so ASAP.

Dear all,
The fall ParGram meeting will be in Bergen, Norway. At the spring meeting in Warsaw, some possible dates were discussed. Not all of these are convenient for the Bergen team. I have created a Doodle with the dates that would be best for us.
At the Warsaw meeting there was a two-day INESS workshop. The first part of the workshop was on Monday. This was followed by three days of ParGram, and then the second day of the workshop was on Friday. Unfortunately many people could not stay for the whole five days, so there weren't so many people present on the last day. We think that perhaps five days is a bit long, and would like to suggest that the ParGram meeting itself can again be for three days, and that we have a one-day INESS workshop in addition. So the whole event will be four days long.
This gives us three possible time spans:
Monday Sept. 14 - Thursday Sept. 17 Tuesday Sept. 15 - Friday Sept. 18 Monday Sept. 28 - Thursday Oct. 1
If you want to come to the meeting, please participate in the poll:

as soon as possible so that we can find dates that will suit as many as possible.
Best, Victoria
Dear all,
I regret to announce that we have to cancel the proposed ParGram meeting in Bergen this fall. The reason is that only four people answered the Doodle signaling that they could possibly come to the meeting. We don't see any point in organizing a meeting with so few participants.
Instead of a ParGram meeting, we are planning on arranging an INESS workshop in Bergen, probably in November. Please let me know as soon as possible if you would be interested in participating. This workshop would provide an opportunity to work with the INESS treebanking infrastructure, and in particular to further the development of ParGramBank. We may be able to provide some funding for your participation.
Best regards, Victoria
