basex configuration file

Hi. I am looking for options to configure the server as documented in the Wiki, but I can not find .basex file anywhere, and there seems to be no documentation on the Wiki. I am specifically looking for settings to bind the server to a particular IP address. Thanks Loke

Final update on BaseX 6.8

Dear all, the final deadline of BaseX 6.8 will be October 14th. testing external variables in the gui

I'm new to XQUERY so perhaps I misunderstand how to do what I want. I'm trying to pass an external value to a variable in the query. I declared the variable as external at the top. Like this: declare variable $inputstud as xs:string* external; My understanding is that I now execute the program like this java -cp basex-6.8-SNAPSHOT.jar org.basex.BaseX ~/MyDocuments/Dropbox/student_ind_detail.xq -binputstud=900426517 then in the where of my query I do where $u/ID eq $x/USERID and $u/IDNUMBER eq $inputstud Unfortunately, for some reason this doesn't work. I'd like to try this in the gui of basex to see if I can figure out what has gone wrong, but I can't figure out how to pipe external variable to the Gui, is there a way. SQL for Basex

I am testing SQL functions in upcoming basex 6.8. I downloaded snapshot and run it against oracle and provided oracle jdbc driver. But it could not find driver. csv export problem

Hi, Timely that CSV is being discussed. I have a question that has been stumping me... I want to be able to output something like: "text here", "<div><a href=""http://basex.org"">text, and more</a></div>", "text here again" What's stumping me is being able to double-quote escape the quotation marks that are in my markup. I've tried serializing my elements and then replacing the single quotes of the attributes to double quotes but then when I try to write that to a file (either serializing as text or xml) the tags are escaped to < etc. Here is a bit of what I've tried: declare option output:indent 'no'; declare variable $txtSer := <serialization-parameters xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2010/xslt-xquery-serialization"> <method value="text"/> </serialization-parameters>; declare variable $xmlSer := <serialization-parameters xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2010/xslt-xquery-serialization"> <method value="xml"/> <indent value="no"/> </serialization-parameters>; declare variable $outFile := 'out2.csv'; declare variable $xml := <sample><a href="http://basex.org">text, and more text</a></sample>; declare function local:writeEOL() { file:append($outFile, '

Hello, I have got question regarding the export function of Basex. I used BaseX to load the Reuters Corpus Volume 1 which is a corpus of around 800k files, unzipped nealry 3GB in size. Is there any way to export some parts of these files (with xpath), parsed into a Basex database, to csv? I am aware that those kind of questions would probably fall under the support which costs. But if there is any simpler solution for that it would be very nice if you could post it. It would help me a lot! Best regards, Andreas

Hi. Although I was trying implements of Japanese Lexer to 6.8 beta, I have noticed that the result of a ft:mark() function shifts. 55 line of https://github.com/BaseXdb/basex/blob/master/src/main/java/org/basex/query/… final FTLexer lex = new FTLexer(ftopt).sc().init(nd.atom()); FTLexer will generate the tokenizer of the default language instead of an original language, if it does not perform in this way. NPE Error in GUI 6.7.1

HI all, I am running basex 6.7.1 on Ubuntu 10.10 using the .jar module running on OpenJDK runtime 6b20-1.9.9. I received an NPE in the GUI (message below).
