Dear Colleagues,
At the LFG22 Workshop today we discussed how we can encourage people who are “LFG-curious” to learn more about the framework and support them as they start to work in LFG. We’ve decided to build on the range of on-line learning resources that are already out there and put together two formal online courses: an introductory one covering c-structure and f-structure, and a second one that introduces other levels of representation and Glue semantics.
We hope that lots of you will want to collaborate on this: it’s not just about giving the lectures, we also need to get good examples from a range of languages, create and typeset materials, proofread, and publicise, to name just some of the tasks.
The aim is to have an online meeting before the end of September for people who are interested in collaborating, to agree a plan and timetable, and allocate tasks.
If you would like to be involved, please send me an e-mail (s.m.jones@rug.nl) and I will include you in the process of finding a date. The date-setting email will be circulated in early August.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Stephen
