Hi,
Based on your feedback (thanks for that), we have decided on a date for the next ParGram meeting, which will take place online and on-site at the University of Konstanz from *April 10th - April 12th, 2017*.
This is directly (with a weekend in between) after EACL 2017, so as to make it more convenient for people from outside Europe to attend. We will set up Skype etc. so that you can participate over the internet in case you can't come to Konstanz.
Concerning structure comparison, my suggestion would be to look at the ParTMA treebank collection, which has been created on the INESS site (clarino.uib.no/iness). The collection deals with different tense/aspect/mood configurations. We are interested in these because we are currently working on a project on multilingual annotation of tense and aspect. Please contact the INESS team at Bergen if you find you do not have access to the ParTMA treebank collection.
At this point in time, I would ask you to do the following:
- Send me an email saying whether/how you can attend the meeting (one of: on-site, online, or cannot attend); - Indicate in the email whether you'd like to give a talk at the meeting (not necessarily on tense/aspect, of course); - Indicate whether you would still like to contribute structures to ParTMA (I will then contact you with more information).
Based on the above, we will work on a tentative schedule.
Let me know if you have any questions. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Konstanz in April!
Cheers, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Sebastian (aka Jani) on behalf of the Konstanz group
